About the Friends

In 2016, the Friends of the Park at LeDroit (FOPAL) was created to support community-driven efforts relating to the park. 

Today, the Friends of the Park at Ledroit helps with the following:

​

• Fundraising for capital improvements to the park and community programming in the park

• Serving as a liaison between DGS, DPR  and the community regarding park improvements, renovations, and general maintenance

• Facilitating programming in the park for all community members to enjoy

• Encouraging community participation in park projects and improvements, as well as in activities at the park
